Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old system of natural healing that has its origins in the Vedic culture of India. Translated, Ayurveda means “the science of life” and provides guidelines on the ideal daily and seasonal routines, yoga, and diets that balance and integrate our minds, bodies, and spirits with our environment. It is based on each person’s unique individual makeup dominated by five elementsair, space, fire, earth, and waterknown as Dosha. When a particular element in a person’s Dosha goes out of balance, he or she experiences illness. Understanding your Dosha can help you to reduce stress, avoid illness, maintain a healthy weight, and bring overall balance to your life.

Shirodhara

The word Shiro means "head" and Dhara means "flow," bringing us one of Ayurveda’s great rejuvenation therapies. Warm infused oil is poured over the forehead on the third-eye chakra flowing through the crown of the head. The therapy brings emotional and physical balance and helps to eliminate stress, calm the nerves, harmonize Vata, and ground you. It is believed to help with fatigue, mental exhaustion, anxiety, insomnia, and many other common conditions that affect people with active lifestyles.


Reiki & Energy Work

Chakras are energy centers in the emotional body through which universal energy flows into the physical body. Chakra balancing helps to restore balance to the chakra fields and can be done using healing through the five senses:  food, color therapy, sound therapy, aromatherapy, meditation, and touch and energy work. Reiki is a Japanese technique that helps to bring balance to the chakras utilizing the universal energy that flows around and within us.
